The Vietnamese-Canadian filmmaker was born in Toronto and lives in Montreal. Her films often focus on the subjects of cultural identity, silence and memory. Her short documentary No Crying at the Dinner ***** screened at festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam and the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, where it won the Jury Prize.
