An English stage, film and television actor, dancer and musician. Carr began training at the National Youth Music Theatre of ***** Britain, then trained at the Arts Educational Performing Arts College from 2003 through 2005, and then at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) from 2005 to 2008 with a scholarship from the Leverhulme Trust. It was during his first year of training that he obtained a role in the play Yerma written by Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca, in which he acted alongside Olivier Award winning actress Kathryn Hunter, at the Arcola Theatre. Since graduating from LAMDA in July 2008, he has appeared in roles for *** and ITV productions and in the Royal National Theatre production of Dido Queen of Carthage,written by Christopher Marlowe and directed by James Macdonald. His theatrical work includes Yerma and Macbeth. In November 2009, he played the lead role in the Royal National Theatre stage production of the Terry Pratchett novel Nation, adapted by Mark Ravenhill and directed by Melly Still.
